Mumbai Journalist Accused Salman Khan Of Assaulting Him Bollywood actor Salman Khan is again in trouble as a television journalist from Mumbai has lodged a criminal complaint against Mr. Khan and his associates on charges of assault, threat, abuse, and others. US Ambassador To India Meets Defence Minister Rajnath Singh To Discuss Defence Ties On Monday, the United States Ambassador to India, Ken Juster paid a courtesy call on the newly-elected Defence Minister Rajnath in New Delhi. Major Chunk Of Land Acquisition For Bullet Train May Finish By Year End The National High Speed Rail Corp Ltd ( NHSRCL ) is hopeful of acquiring a major portion of land required for the 58-km-long Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train project by the end of this year. Sushma Gaur, the NHSRCL spokesperson told reporters that the land will be taken over once the tenders for the project were finalized. “Major chunk of the land acquisition is likely to be completed by December 2019,” she said. The bullet trains are likely to run at 320 km per hour covering the 508 km stretch in about two hours. In comparison, the trains now take seven hours to travel the distance while the planes take about an hour of flying time. Till the date, the NHSRCL has acquired 39 percent of the 1380 hectares of land. This comes to 537 hectares: 471 of 940 hectares in Gujarat and 66 of 431 hectares in Maharashtra. Sedition Case Lodged Against Rapper Hard Kaur Over Posts On RSS And Yogi Adityanath A sedition case has been filed against rapper Hard Kaur over remarks against the RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh) and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, reports source. On Monday, 39-year-old Hard Kaur made the remarks in separate posts on Instagram. In Varanasi, a FIR has been lodged against Ms. Kaur under various IPC Sections, which includes sedition. The complaint was lodged yesterday by a local lawyer, Shashank Shekhar. It will be forwarded to the cyber cell for further investigation. Only NPT Signed Countries Should Be Allowed To NSG , Says China On India’s Entry On Friday, China said that it will have no discussion over India’s entry into the Nuclear Suppliers Group (NSG) before reaching a specific plan on the participation of members who did not sign the treaty on the Non-Proliferation of nuclear weapons ( NPT ) in the elite grouping. China has been insisting that only the NPT signed countries should be allowed to enter the organization which is a 48-member grouping that regulates global nuclear commerce. France To Offer 7 Lakh Euros To India For Railway Station Development Indian Railway Station Development Corporation has entered into a tripartite agreement with  French Development Agency AFD and French National Railways SNCF, under which a grant of 7 lakh Euros will offer a boost to capacity building for Railway Station development programs in India.
