Mumbai Journalist Accused Salman Khan Of Assaulting Him

Bollywood actor Salman Khan is again in trouble as a television journalist from Mumbai has lodged a criminal complaint against Mr. Khan and his associates on charges of assault, threat, abuse, and others.

Ashok S. Pandey, the Maharashtra head of JK24x7 news channel, has filed a criminal case before the 10th Court, Andheri, against Khan, his aide Vijay and another unknown person, his lawyer Neeraj Gupta said.

Mr. Gupta told reporters, “The matter will come up for hearing on July 12. At that time, the court will decide whether the police will be directed to conduct an investigation, or issue summons to the accused.”

In the complaint, Pandey said that he was driving from Juhu to Kandivali in his car with his cameraman Sayyed Irfan when they saw Salman Khan cycling on the road with his two aides protecting him.

After that Pandey sought permission from the two guards to film Salman Khan and they agreed to, said Pandey in his complaint. When the complainant started shooting, his aides suddenly attacked his car and started assaulting him. He claimed that even Khan joined with his aids assaulted him and tried to snatch his mobile to destroy the footage.

As per Mr. Gupta’s statement, when Pandey was moving towards the D.N. Nagar police station to lodge a complaint Mr. Khan abused him and tried to grab his phone. Nearly two months after his complaint, the police station disposed it off, saying there was no matter of offense, said Gupta.

Pandey said that one of Khan’s representatives called him and reportedly admitted to the misbehavior and requested him to settle the matter but Pandey refused to do so. Pandey urged the court to direct the police to investigate the case seriously and take suitable action under the law against the accused of the alleged offenses committed by them.
